Watching sports live is a completely different experience than watching sports on TV. But which sports are better to watch from a seat in the stadium and which are better to watch from your local pub or at home?
5. Football (Soccer)
Even though football is the most popular sport in the world by far, the atmosphere at the local pub doesn’t have the same impact as the other sports on this list. There are some cases in which football has great atmospheres due to close games in big games, however with the new technology and new antics of diving and poor sportsmanship has seen a decrease in ultimate atmosphere effect.

4. AFL
AFL isn’t necessarily the greatest sport for the atmosphere however due to the rough nature and the way the game is played can bring out a great atmosphere in a bar. With players throwing themselves in harms way for their team and when games are close, AFL’s atmosphere can easily come alive.

3. NFL
America’s biggest sport has some of the biggest crowds at the game and on the couch even for the regular games. The big hits, spectacular catches and touchdowns all add the the already amazing atmosphere.

2. BOXING
Boxing is one of the biggest sports that people watch and love to put a bet on. The fact that it may end in the first 30 seconds or may last 12 rounds is a big bonus for the sport which makes viewers pay attention for the whole thing.

1. UFC
UFC, just like boxing, ends unexpectedly and gets viewers on the edge of their seats. The brutal nature of this sport with massive personalities such as, Conor McGregor, draws in all types of spectators and the massively publicised weigh-ins and press conferences also helps hype up the final fight.
